JCI European Know-How Transfer
Join young leaders from around the world for a transformative week inside the European Parliament at the JCI European Know-How Transfer!
The JCI European Know-How Transfer (EUKHT) is an annual exchange program connecting youth leaders and European decision-makers, organised by Junior Chamber International Europe (JCI Europe).
The program offers participants the opportunity to experience the work of the European Parliament and gain insight into the European decision-making process by shadowing Members of the European Parliament (MEPs) and taking part in training sessions, panel discussions and workshops.
Participants will deepen their understanding of how European policies are shaped. A key part of your EUKHT experience is taking the initiative to secure the MEP you wish to shadow. You will reach out directly to an MEP and their office, introduce yourself and request permission to follow their work during the program. This step is designed to empower you to engage confidently with European leaders and take ownership of your learning journey. The Organising Committee will support you with guidance, templates and best practices but the connection you build is yours. Approaching an MEP is not only a practical requirement; it’s a meaningful leadership exercise that strengthens your communication skills, initiative and ability to navigate real‑world political environments.
Hosted at the iconic European Parliament in Brussels, this event serves as your gateway to understanding the inner workings of European governance while expanding your network on an international scale.
In 2019, the EUKHT program was shortlisted for and awarded with a recognition by the “Altiero Spinelli Prize for Outreach” for enhancing citizens’ understanding of the European Union.
